F’ing Time Warner / RoadRunner

So my mother-in-law and sister-in-law just moved from an apartment to a duplex in Austin. Time Warner wouldn’t let them move her service. They had to disconnect at the old place, and connect at the new place. This means repaying the deposit and activation fees. Additionally they had to wait two weeks for activation and when the installer came (note the new place had evidence of being recently wired by Time Warner) he broke their wireless router, told them that they can’t use a router, and that they needed to buy a cable modem service for EACH device the needed to connect to the internet. Two PCs and a TiVo. Of course Time Warner won’t take responsibility for the broken router, and now they have to go out and buy a new router.
