a shrine of insignificance

I went in to radio shack to get a S-Video to RCA Composite adapter. The clerk, who I should have just told I was browsing, first insisted that RCA was only audio. I assured him there was such a thing as RCA Video and he says “Oh, Component Video?” I said, no just plain Composite. So then he claims that it isn’t possible because S-Video is Optical. To which I reply, “optical means light”. And he says “I know what I am talking about.” So I just ignore him and look by myself, he stomps off and I eventually find it. It costs $22 dollars. I already had an adapter just in the wrong gender on the RCA side. So I just grabbed an pair of RCA couplers that were a fraction of the price. I go up to the counter and he smugly asks if I found the adapter, I tell him I did but I decided to use the one I had already in a different gender. I just can’t believe how much of an ass he was. I remember when I was little people hated going into radio shack because of lousy customer service, but I have not had any problems in a long time.
