where did they get my number?
So I am a registered independant, member of the EFF and the ACLU, voted for John Kerry in 2004, and today I get a call from an organization of concerned familes to stop gay marriage. Besides the fact that it is unconstitutionally illegal in Texas, I just don’t understand why “familes” are concerned. Do they think that if there is gay marriage then heterosexual marriage will be outlaw? Any way, I called them back to ask to be removed and the lady asks if I am gay like she was using a slur. So I tell her “No. I’m a chrisitian and the bible teaches us to turn the other cheek and that all our sins are forgiven.” Then I hang up. I realized I didn’t get my name off the list, so I call back and calmly ask the different person who answers if I can be removed from the list, he slams the phone down. I call back a third time, and ask again to be taken off, finally this third person says sure and gets my number. He was actually nice about it. But as I think about it what would be better than to rack up their phone bills? So here is the number 877-266-6277. I think any freethinking person should call them and tell them about how they believe in the Constitution, in Christianity, in human decency and oppose attempts to force a narrow neo-fascist morality on innocent people.
