why I hate hardware
It seems as if I am cursed with hardware. I have broken more devices by sheer bad luck than probably anyone else. I’ve killed five printers, an Apple IIe, a 20mb harddrive for a IBM PS/2, Three cellphones, a Handspring Visor and much more. But to make matters worse, my Archos spontaneously started freaking out yesterday. I went home, plugged it in and tried to turn it on to re-flash the BIOS, but it won’t come on in more. I tried a hard reset to no avail. Hopefully the Archos tech support people will have an idea, if not I will have to exchange it, I may end up going a different route, if the RCA Lyra is a mountable under linux.
