realization of an abacus and a video

I have begun work on the “Abacus” design for technomagick.com v3. I’m having trouble dealing with color scheme, but I have brilliant ideas about the interaction. I have broken my sacred vow to use nano as my web editor and have started to play with Adobe GoLive. While it is nice to have a closer tie into Photoshop, and the ability to instantly see the effects of my edits, I think the actually system may be overkill, unless it’s web animation features prove to be helpful. I also am planning to actually build a sound scheme into this version.

Simultaneously, I have decided to take on the music video contest for “The Polyphonic Spree’s” new single. My idea involves 40s and 50s educational sex-ed videos to capture the feeling of love and support that the song, “Hold Me Now.” I think it is a brilliant idea.

Hold Me Now
He started the day with a mood and a shake,
He was finally arranged.
Someone said with a cold hard chest,
“You’re a mess.”
He woke up at nights,
he thought he was twice,
he was moving away,
because everyone thinks it goes away,
with age.

Hold me now,
don’t start shaking.
You keep me safe,
don’t ever think ,
you’re the only one,
when times are tough,
and you’re new age.

You’d better be cool at the time.

He’s walking along with a soul in his lungs.
You stare at him long you can find a new song.
Everyone thinks they’ve got him afraid.
You’re still miles away,
You’re still miles away.
I said, you’re still miles away.
